What is Filtered Searching?
Most Search Engines that are available on the internet (e.g. Infoseek, AltaVista, Yahoo, etc) will not provide any screening of the results of the search. This means that a list of the unsuitable sites (pornographic, racist, violent, etc) can appear in the search list.
Whilst these sites cannot be accessed if SOS is active, many people would prefer that the sites were not listed at all. We have made such a search engine accessible to SOS Members from every page you view on the internet - click on the TickMark which appears in the corner of your screen and connect direct to a pre-filtered search-engine.
